She’s known for pulling out all the stops for red carpet events and parties, and Helen Mirren ensured she made a memorable appearance on the final day of the Royal Ascot.

The 72-year-old actress joined the Queen and a stream of stars to fill the annual event with colour, while celebrating five days of all out style, racing and parties.

Embracing a spot of sunshine, Mirren wore a knee-length pink and black floral dress for the day, with a matching baby pink fascinator fixed with a huge flower. Posing for photos in front of a large flower-filled wall, it looked made for her grand entrance – and she did not disappoint.

Mirren took centre stage throughout, as she later stepped up to the Parade Ring to present awards to winners after the Windsor Castle Stakes.

Finishing off her outfit, Mirren chose some baby pink low heels, and was pictured beaming and laughing with fellow racegoers throughout the event.

She was joined on the day by the Queen – who has attended every single day of the almost week-long events – and she once again shone out in a blue outfit to finish off the festivities.

Waving to the crowds, the monarch looked in good spirits as she rode in a carriage for the early procession with Prince Andrew – flying the flag for the whole family.

It comes after more of the royal family have joined her throughout the last few days, and it was over to Sarah Ferguson to leave a lasting impression just hours ago.

The Duchess of York was pictured animatedly smiling and waving as she curtsied in front of Her Majesty at the prestigious horse racing event, before making her way to the royal box.

Fergie, who still lives with Prince Andrew in the Royal Lodge at Windsor, looked stunning in an elegant navy blue dress, by Roland Mouret, and a matching Philip Tracey hat which complimented her fiery red hair.

Sarah married the Duke of York in 1986 and they went on to have daughters Princess Beatrice, 29, and Princess Eugenie, 28, together. The couple divorced 10-years later in 1996, with Sarah retaining her royal title, however they have remained very close ever since with Sarah previously saying they “never really left each other”.
