Fantastic Milo banana bread

If you’re getting tired of the everyday loaf flavours, try this tasty recipe that uses one of the most beloved Aussie ingredients. This fantastic Milo-flavoured banana bread recipe is also a great option to make with the grandkids as it gives off a completely unique yet delicious taste!

It can freeze for up to four months so you can even keep it as an after school snack for the young ones to enjoy whenever they come to visit. Try serving it up warm with a bit of butter and a hot cuppa alongside. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 4 mashed ripe bananas
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate soda
  • 3/4 cup almond meal
  • 3/4 cup plain flour
  • 1 cup Milo
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/3 cup milk

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180C. In large mixing bowl, mash bananas, add oil,vanilla and bicarbonate soda, mix well using a wooden spoon. Add almond meal flour and Milo, mix well with wooden spoon.
  2. Crack eggs into large glass and add milk, whisk with a fork until lightly beaten. Pour into banana bread mix and mix well with wooden spoon.
  3. Line loaf tin with baking paper and pour in batter. Bake for 50-60 minutes until golden brown and skewer comes out clean.
