A woman is walking with her little granddaughter when the girl picks up something off the ground and starts to put in in her mouth.
Her grandmother takes it off her and tells her not to do that.
“Why?” the little girl asks.
“Because it’s been on the ground. You don’t know where it’s been, it’s dirty and probably has germs,” the grandmother replies.
The little girls looks up at her grandma with admiration and asks, “Grandma, how do you know all this stuff? You are so smart.”
Thinking quickly, the grandmother says to the little girl, “All grandmas know this stuff – it’s on the grandma test. You have to know it, or they don’t let you be a grandma.”
The pair walked along in silence for a few minutes while the little girl ponders what her grandmother said.
“Oh… I get it!” the little girl pipes up.
“So if you don’t pass the test, you have to be the grandpa.”
