Layovers are not the most fun you can have on your travels. Not by a long shot, but they do happen. If you are going to have a long layover, you might as well have one at an airport that feels like a mini-holiday on its own. Spas and exhibitions, some airports have it all.

1. Changi Airport, Singapore

If you ask any seasoned traveller that has had the privilege to experience this airport, it will be at the top of everyone’s list for the airport to have a layover in.  It’s hard not to see why when among the amenities is a shower and spa!  Nothing takes the kilometres of travel off like a little pampering.  There is also a rooftop pool for a refreshing dip. If you are after some peace and quiet, there is a butterfly garden, cactus garden, and a sunflower garden.  There are also free tours of Singapore from the airport or a movie cinema if you just want to relax and watch a film.

2. Munich Airport, Germany

Heading over to Europe see if you can get your flights to Munich Airport for a one of a kind experience.  The Audi conference centre always has something going on.  Looking for the ultimate freshen up? Not only does the Munich Airport have a top rated day spa but it also has cutting-edge hair stylist that can make sure you are leaving the airport a new person.

3. Incheon International Airport, South Korea

There are travellers that will go out of their way to experience this Airport, and it’s hard not to see why. It has a day spa; it has gyms and a cinema. However, the Incheon stands out from other airports by offering its travellers an ice rink for some very cool fun. Another great option is to take in a show at their concert hall.  You can also hit a few rounds at their golf course or throw some chips down on the table of the casino.  There is something for everyone at the Incheon.

Which airport strikes your fancy? Do you have another airport that isn’t on this list? Let us know in the comments below.
