Danish Royal Crown Princess Mary has wowed attendees with her impeccable style at the Crown Prince Couple Prizes in Vejle, Denmark, on Saturday, September 25.
The Tasmanian-born Crown Princess and her husband Crown Prince Frederik travelled to Vejle, two hours west of Copenhagen, to present Crown Prince Couple Prizes.
Mary was elegant and glamorous in a 1950s inspired outfit. Styling a simple black, off-the-shoulder blouse with a stunning sage tea-length skirt, she was reminiscent of a 1950s dream. The A-line skirt, emblazoned with a delicate white, silver, lilac and blue floral sprig pattern, is part of the H&M Conscious Exclusive Collection, according to NewMyRoyals.
The ensemble worked beautifully with the Gianvito Rossi suede pumps – very similar to the pair Mary recently wore for a luxurious dinner in Copenhagen – and a dainty bouquet of assorted purple and blue florals. Mary’s hair was worn in a fashionable low chignon style, and worked with her top and soft makeup to highlight her collarbones.
Beside her, Crown Prince Frederik was handsome, wearing a navy, pinstriped double-breasted suit, with a simple white button-down shirt and a rust tie to round out the look.
The Danish Royals Instagram, @detdanskekongehus, shared many images of the Royal Danes at the Awards night, as they handed out awards at the annual celebration.
Many Instagram users left comments on the gorgeous couple’s posts, with one saying “Stunning- as ever. And such decorum.”
Another commenter noted Mary’s timeless elegance while announcing the winners with her husband, stating “Crown Princess Mary… always beautiful and serene. ????”
According to a caption on one of their Instagram posts celebrating the evening, the awards are given for “extraordinary efforts and achievements in art and culture, as well as social work”.
Among the winners were Mødrehjælpen, a century-old maternity assistance program, and Danish singer-songwriter-producer extraordinaire Erika de Casier, for her “innovative approach to music”.
The ceremony was televised live. The highlights can be seen in posts on the Royal Instagram account.
Crown Princess Mary will become Queen when her mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe II, abdicates the crown or passes away. Mary and Frederik, along with Frederik’s sibling Prince Joachim, and the Queen’s sister Princess Benedikte, can act as Head of State, when Queen Margrethe II is unable due to planned absence, or illness.
