In a heartwarming tribute to mark Prince William’s 41st birthday, the Royal Family has released a never-before-seen photograph capturing an intimate moment between the Prince of Wales and his father, during recent coronation rehearsals.

The snapshot not only recognises William’s birthday in a touching way but offers a glimpse into the heir apparent’s life, highlighting the incredible bond he shares with his father.

The photo, shared to The Royal Family’s Instagram page, shows the Prince of Wales and King Charles sharing a laugh as William playfully grappled with the task of securing an age-old Imperial Mantle around his father’s shoulders.

“Wishing The Prince of Wales a very happy birthday today!” the caption read.

The Royal Family weren’t the only ones to wish William a happy birthday with messages pouring in from around the world, as royal enthusiasts and well-wishers took to social media to congratulate the Prince on his special day.

Noticeably absent among the well-wishers was William’s younger brother Prince Harry who has remained distant from his older brother and other members of the Royal Family after stepping away from royal duties in 2020.

While their relationship remains strained, speculation has emerged that the ousted royal may reach out to William on his special day.

Former royal butler Grant Harrold recently revealed to Slingo that he believes Harry will put his differences aside to wish his brother a happy birthday.

“I think that hand on heart I still believe that Harry will still reach out to William for his birthday,” Harrold said.

“I think he will reach out to him, definitely, I think they will still reach out to each other on their birthdays.

“For all we know they could be talking and they could be sorting things out. So I’d like to think that they remember each other’s birthdays.”
