Sarah Ferguson has paid tribute to her sister Jane Ferguson Luedecke on social media and unveiled two never-before-seen photographs from her daughter Princess Eugenie’s wedding. The Duchess of York shared three photographs or herself and her “dream of a sister” in honour of National Siblings Day on April 10.

One of the photographs showed the sisters smiling together during what appears to be the evening reception of Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank. While another, also taken on the royal wedding day in October 2018, shows Jane enjoying a ride on a carousel at the carnival-themed celebration the couple hosted the day after their nuptials.

“There is nobody like my @janeferguson7. She is a dream of a sibling (not a pain!),” she wrote on Instagram. “My sister makes my world so bright and I somehow accept when she says I am not right!”

Fergie added: “Today is National Sibling Day and I raise a toast and am happy to boast that my sister is the finest in the land. So thank you my dearest Jane. I stand and applause with both my hands … Love you Jane.”

While two of the photos were fairly recent, Sarah, 60, also shared a throwback image of the sisters, however it is not clear when exactly it was taken.

Jane replied to Sarah’s post and said: “Bless you my dearest sister Sarah, how kind and generous with your words, no one more fairer!” While many of the duchess’ followers also commented on the family photographs.

One said: “Yes she is gorgeous – had the pleasure of sitting next to Jane at a charity dinner – great conversation & company all around.”

Another commented: “Sarah has always been one of my favourite royals. When I was a kid, and she married Andrew I thought she was so beautiful and she still is.” While another wrote: “You look so much like your dad and she looks so much like your mom.”

While Eugenie’s wedding was broadcast live on television, the Queen’s granddaughter has also shared many details of her big day on her own social media account. Last year, the 30-year-old marked her first wedding anniversary by sharing some previously unseen footage on Instagram.

The clip features behind-the-scenes snippets of the bride getting ready as well as some close-up shots of her and Jack, including their first kiss as a married couple. Alongside the video she wrote: “This was the greatest day of my life…forever and always! Happy one year anniversary, my Jack!!”
