Crown Princess Mary touched down in Italy for Milan Design Week earlier this week, and on Wednesday night, the Australian-born royal popped on one of her best frocks for a gala dinner at Rossana Orlandi Gallery.

For the occasion, the 49-year-old wore a shimmery blush dress. The pleated dress was the perfect fit for the mother-of-four, tucking in at the waist, before flowing down in an asymmetrical style. Mary wore a white blazer over her shoulders to keep the wind off, and coordinated with a pair of nude, strappy heels, gold jewellery and matching clutch, while she wore her hair out to the side.

The Danish royal family’s official Instagram shared several images from the beautiful night, which showed Mary getting a grand tour of the gallery before stepping outside into the courtyard for dinner. It’s not clear who’s in the pictures with Mary, but the other woman, who appears to work at the gallery, looked super trendy in an oversized tunic and wide-framed, white glasses.

“Yesterday, Her Royal Highness The Crown Princess participated in a gala dinner at Galleria Rossana Orlandi,” the caption read. “Before the dinner, Her Royal Highness took part in a short tour of the gallery.

“Milan Design Week is the world’s largest annual furniture and design event, and this year Denmark is represented, among other things, in the form of an exhibition focused on sustainability and the circular economy in Danish design and architecture.”

A day earlier, Mary attended an exhibition Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo Da Vinci, which featured a portrait of her made entirely from recycled material.

“Sustainable solutions in Danish design and architecture are in focus when HRH The Crown Princess participates in Milan Design Week the days of 7-8 September 2021,” the Danish royal family’s official Instagram captioned the post. “The goal of the visit is to focus on Danish traditions in the creative industries and, at the same time, promote knowledge of the focus that Danish architecture and design companies have on sustainability and the circular economy as well as Danish green competencies.⁣

“Over two days, Her Royal Highness will, among other things, visit the Danish exhibition and be shown sustainable Danish projects and products. During the visit to Milan, The Crown Princess will also meet participating Danish design companies exhibiting in Milan and hear about the sustainable solutions and products they offer.”
