It’s been exactly one year since Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank tied the knot and now, in celebration of their wedding anniversary, the Queen’s granddaughter has shared a heartwarming video from the big day.

On Saturday, the 29-year-old princess took to Instagram to share some behind-the-scenes footage to mark the occasion. The clip features behind-the-scenes snippets of the bride getting ready as well as some close-up shots of her and Jack, including their first kiss as a married couple.

“This was the greatest day of my life…forever and always! Happy one year anniversary, my Jack!!” Eugenie wrote alongside the touching video.

Many royal fans were quick to wish the couple the best on their big day, with one writing: “You looked so beautiful Eugenie – it was magical to watch.” Another added: “Happy Anniversary and to many more.” While a third wrote: “Such a beautiful honest wedding! Happy Anniversary.”

Meanwhile, the royal family’s official Instagram page also congratulated Eugenie and Jack on their first wedding anniversary, by sharing a stunning snap from the big day.

“Congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank on their 1st Wedding Anniversary!” the caption read. “Today marks one year since Her Royal Highness and Mr Brooksbank exchanged vows as St George’s Chapel within the grounds of Windsor Castle on October 12th, 2018.”

The happy couple were married in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in October last year – the same venue where her cousin Prince Harry married Meghan five months earlier.

Eugenie was every bit the princess bride as she walked down the aisle in an off-the-shoulder gown designed by British designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos, which featured a corset top and beautiful full skirt made from a blend of silk, cotton and viscose.

Following their grandiose wedding ceremony that saw 850 A-listers flock to Windsor, newlyweds Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank headed to an afternoon reception hosted by the Queen.

The afternoon reception was then followed by a huge party thrown by the bride’s parents at the York family home, the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park. For the evening reception, the princess slipped into a stunning blush gown made by American designer Zac Posen.

The afterparty was hosted by Princess Eugenie’s mother Sarah Ferguson and her father Prince Andrew. It featured a carnival theme, complete with a ferris wheel, merry-go-round and personalised gifts for guests.

Meanwhile, it comes after Eugenie’s older sister Princess Beatrice announced her engagement to Edoardo “Edo” Mapelli Mozzi last month.

They said in a statement at the time: “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement. We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married.

“We share so many similar interests and values and we know that this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.” The couple got engaged in Italy earlier this month, the royal family confirmed, with the wedding set to take place in 2020. The beautiful photoshoot was taken in the stunning location at the time.
