She’s one of the most hardworking royals around and Princess Anne has taken a break from her usual royal engagements to spend some quality time with her granddaughters.

The 68-year-old grandmother was photographed on grandparenting duty at the Festival of British Eventing with grandchildren Mia Grace, Savannah and Isla Phillips earlier this week. The Festival of British Eventing is held at Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire in the United Kingdom and incorporates the British Championships of the five levels of equestrian.

Five-year-old Mia is the daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall, while Savannah, eight, and Isla, seven, are the daughters of Peter and Autumn Phillips. For the outing, Princess Anne opted for a pair of casual slacks, brown shoes, a button-up shirt and a vest. She also wore a pair of sunglasses and wore her hair in its usual iconic style.

Proving she’s just a normal nana, Anne kept a watchful eye over her three granddaughters as they happily strolled through the park in casual attire for the day’s festivities.

Meanwhile, her youngest granddaughter Lena was spotted spending some quality time with her mum, Zara. The gorgeous one-year-old was photographed sitting on Zara’s shoulders as they attended the iconic horse event. The tot was dressed in an adorable pair of pink overalls, while 38-year-old kept it causal in a polo shirt, pair of jeans, sneakers and sunglasses.

The event has been quite the milestone for little Lena, who was photographed a day earlier walking for the first time. The blonde-haired bub showed no signs of slowing down as she played happily at the festival with big sister Mia and confidently walked her way across a jumping castle.

Anne’s son Peter was also snapped earlier in the week at the event with daughters Savannah and Isla, with candid photographs showing big sister Savannah happily giving Isla a piggyback down a grassy hill.

The Festival of British eventing concludes on Sunday with a range of activities for the whole family to enjoy. The horse events are of course the main attraction with the Shetland pony grand national and dressage events just to name a few, as well as a range of stalls with goods for purchase and plenty of fun activities for the little ones.
