The promo for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s anticipated Netflix documentary has been released and in absolutely no shock to anyone, Piers Morgan has added his two cents.
Writing a column for The Sun, the British broadcaster dramatically expressed that the trailer for the couple’s Netflix tell-all, Harry and Meghan, made him sick, saying he “retched”.
In the teaser, the couple is asked why they wanted to make the documentary and Meghan responds: “When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make sense to hear our story from us?”
Morgan slammed the couple for being hypocrites for seemingly always telling their story after demanding privacy.
“It was so ghastly, so repugnant, so dripping in sanctimony and fake hammy ‘woe-is-us’ acting, that I felt my intestines physically recoil in abject disgust,” Morgan wrote.
“Imagine bleating constantly about privacy, including repeatedly suing news organisations for intrusion, and then making a kiss-and-tell reality show about your private lives?
“Or preaching endlessly about compassion, yet once again trashing your family on global television?
“Every time I think the Sussexes have plummeted as low as they can go, they go lower.”
Fans of the Royal couple jumped to their defence, calling Morgan a “bully”.
It seems Morgan might in fact be the minority, with many fans sharing their excitement for Harry and Meghan’s side of the story to be told on their own terms.
Netflix is yet to announce the release date for the upcoming documentary Harry and Meghan.
