The Duchess of Cornwall recommenced her royal duties this week as she welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron to the UK alongside Prince Charles on Thursday — and of course, she opted for a fabulous outfit for the occasion.
Camilla, 72, looked incredible in a navy blue lace-detailed dress by British fashion designer Bruce Oldfield. She accessorised with a wide brim hat, her favourite Chanel two-tone heels and a pearl necklace. While Prince Charles, 71, looked dapper in a navy blue striped suit.
The French president is visiting London to commemorate the 80th anniversary of his predecessor Charles de Gaulle’s “Appel”. Clarence House explained: “On 18 June 1940, General Charles de Gaulle gave his speech from the BBC Broadcasting House in London to France as the French government prepared to sign an armistice with the Nazi invaders. The message offered hope in a time of despair and is today considered the founding text of the French Resistance.
“Today, Their Royal Highnesses received The President at Clarence House, before a wreath laying at the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Memorial.”

Prince Charles and Camilla are one of the first British royals to return to in-person engagements amid the pandemic. Earlier in the week, Charles and Camilla visited the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to thank the key staff who have been working on the frontline of the Covid-19 pandemic.
During the socially-distanced visit, the duchess said: “There is nothing like being able to thank the NHS staff face-to-face even if the choreography is a little bit different! They are Britain at its best.”
