A new storm is raining upon the Royal Family, as London’s Metropolitan Police Service launch a probe into scandalous allegations concerning future King, Prince Charles.

In an official statement released by the Metropolitan Police on February 16, and published to their social media accounts, it is detailed that The Prince’s Foundation, a charity run by Prince Charles, is being investigated for alleged involvement in securing citizenship, and honours, for a Saudi national.

The statement reads:

“The Metropolitan Police Service has launched an investigation into allegations of offences under the Honours (Prevention of Abuses) Act 1925.

“The decision follows an assessment of a September 2021 letter. This related to media reporting alleging offers of help were made to secure honours and citizenship for a Saudi national.

“The Special Enquiry Team has conducted the assessment process which has included contacting those believed to hold relevant information.

“Officers liaised with The Prince’s Foundation about the findings of an independent investigation into fundraising practices. The Foundation provided a number of relevant documents.

“These documents were reviewed alongside existing information. The assessment determined an investigation will commence.

“There have been no arrests or interviews under caution.”

Prince Charles’s friend and colleague at The Prince’s Foundation, Michael Fawcett, stepped down from his role in November over the allegations, however, the Palace has responded to this probe announcement denying any involvement or knowledge of the alleged offence.

“The Prince of Wales had no knowledge of the alleged offer of honours or British citizenship on the basis of donation to his charities,” Clarence House announced.

According to the official website, The Prince’s Foundation “provides holistic solutions to challenges facing the world today” through championing a “sustainable approach to how we live our lives and build our communities” by running education and training programmes for people of all backgrounds and ages.

This comes amid a hellish week for the Royal Family, just 24 hours after Prince Andrew, Charles’s brother, settled a case brought against him by Virginia Giuffre, and both Charles and Camilla contracted Covid-19.
