In a heartwarming display of affection, King Charles took to social media to lead the tributes to Princess Catherine on her 42nd birthday.
The Monarch shared a behind-the-scenes picture of the beloved princess, capturing a candid moment during the King’s coronation in May 2023.
In the delightful snapshot, Catherine dons her coronation robes and a stunning headpiece, sharing a cheerful smile with the Monarch, who is also dressed in his robes and the majestic Imperial State Crown.
“Wishing The Princess of Wales a very happy birthday today,” the post read.
An adoring public wasted no time in spreading birthday cheer, swiftly following King Charles’ lead and showering Princess Catherine with an avalanche of heartwarming messages, turning her birthday celebration into a worldwide outpouring of love and goodwill.
Although Prince William has not yet publicly extended his birthday wishes, anticipation is high that the future King is gearing up for an extravagant celebration, ensuring that Princess Catherine has a birthday befitting a queen.
The Prince of Wales is said to be determined to make Catherine’s 42nd birthday extra special as the Princess has been under a lot of pressure following the publication of Omid Scobie’s explosive book Endgame.
As both Catherine and members of the Royal Family deal with the fallout from the release of the book, royal expert Jennie Bond has claimed that William has some magnificent surprises up his sleeve, all set to spoil his wife rotten on her special day.
“William will spoil [Kate] rotten this year, because it’s been a really tough time for her,” Bond revealed to OK Magazine.
“He’s probably got a little bit of romance in him somewhere, and even though he says he’s not a very good cook, Kate did tell Mary Berry that he’s quite good at breakfasts, so a special tray complete with a rose could arrive early for Kate.
“I imagine they will spend some quality time with their children, as it’s the last day of their Christmas holiday before they return to school, but perhaps a candle-lit champagne dinner will be on the cards.”
