Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, has been making few public appearances of late as she continues to struggle with the extreme morning sickness plaguing her third pregnancy. However, she seemed to have gotten past the worst of it if her appearance at a Charities Forum event at London’s Paddington Station is anything to go by.
With William, Duke of Cambridge, Prince Harry, and the cast of Paddington 2 in tow, Catherine met with 130 children aboard the Belmond British Pullman train. The children had been selected by the Charities Forum, with some of them having been affected by the horrific fire at Grenfell Tower earlier this year.
William reportedly told members of the public that his wife was “feeling much better” and it certainly appeared that way as she linked hands with someone in life-sized Paddington Bear suit and started dancing on the station platform.
Catherine’s face lit up with a smile as she twirled with Paddington, the Duke of Cambridge unable to stifle a chuckle at the strange sight of his wife grooving with a beloved children’s character.
Her dark hair down and lightly curled, Catherine wore a blush-pink long-sleeved Orla Kiely dress for the event. The thin black belt at her waist emphasised the Duchess’s still-tiny baby bump.
The Duke and Duchess and Prince Harry made their way through the carriages of the Belmond British Pullman train, chatting with the children and their parents. William even settled in when speaking to guests from Child Bereavement UK, taking a seat so he could keep talking, much to the delight of his guests.
Harry, a natural with children, lit up the room when he shook hands with some of the younger guests, who looked delighted and slightly awestruck to be meeting the young, vibrant royals.
But none could outshine Kate, whose continued laughter as she met with Paddington Bear seemed to put everyone in good spirits.
