They’re the Australian showbiz couple getting ready to welcome their fifth grandchild but that hasn’t stopped Bert and Patti Newton from sharing some sweet grandparent moments with their older grandkids.
Patti, 73, took to her Instagram page on Monday evening to share a loving moment between her husband and their grandson, Monty.
In the photograph, 80-year-old Bert was smiling from ear to ear as he plays with little Monty. The former Good Morning Australia host was wearing a festive scarf and Santa hat, while Monty was sporting an adorable bow tie.

“Two beautiful boys,” Patti captioned the photo.
Fans were quick to praise the loving photo.
One person said: “Two peas in a pod…gorgeous.”
Another comment read: “Will there be a new Bert & Patty Family Christmas album including your grandchildren. There’s an idea.”

Patti has also spent some quality time with her grandson. Her daughter Lauren shared a snap last month of Patti and Monty having the time of their lives at Santa’s Magic Kingdom in Melbourne.
In the photograph, Patti could be seen smiling as she joined Monty on a carousel at the Christmas event.

Earlier this month, Patti also revealed that entertainment is still in her blood, when she appeared in a special music for her granddaughters Eva and Lola. Dressed in a pink frock and cape with a silver crown, the stage performer starred as Glinda from The Wizard of Oz.

Patti had earlier in the year confirmed that her daughter Lauren and son-in-law Matt were due to welcome their fifth child this month. She wrote: “”Lauren and Matt are expecting their 5th child in December. We are all just so excited especially the kids. How lucky are we, can’t wait xx.”
In addition to Monty, Eva and Lola, Matt and Lauren are also parents to son Sam. If Lauren’s social media posts are anything to go by, the family are prepared for the arrival of their new child.
In one post, Lauren shared a sweet photo of little Lola sharing a cuddle with her.
“Taking all the cuddles I can get in these last 2 weeks before baby,” she wrote last week. “Lola will soon be the middle child!”

In another shot, Monty was spotted with a pram, with Lauren confirming he was “getting ready for baby duties”. In another funny post, Lauren joked that her family was growing too large for them all to fit in their annual Santa Claus photo.
