Just when we thought Dolly couldn’t get more fabulous, she’s gone ahead and given us yet another thing to talk about!

Taking to social media this morning, country icon Dolly Parton has shared a show-stopping photo of her rocking a short, hot-pink blazer set paired with racy red lingerie, and bold lipstick in celebration of her 76th birthday.

The caption wrote, “Just hangin’ out in my birthday suit!”, and features an elegant but sexy Dolly sitting cross-legged and facing the camera, hand-on-hip.

The comments on the post saw birthday messages from celebrity figures including god-daughter Miley Cyrus and TV personality Jimmy Fallon, paying love and respect to the mega-star as she celebrates her special day in true-Dolly style.

Fallon admitted to crushing on the super-star and regular guest on his show, commenting “Happy birthday to the supremely talented, insanely funny and most gorgeous crush a talk show host could have”.

Just last week Dolly announced the release of her new album and book, ‘Run Rose, Run’, letting fans know the album is now available for pre-order.

Dolly was particularly excited to promote her new song titled “Big Dreams and Faded Jeans”, the first track from the new album.

“So many people come to Nashville with their sack of songs. Whether they’re running from anything or not, they’re running towards a future. That’s what ‘Big Dreams and Faded Jeans’ is all about. I’m so pleased to finally share the first song from this exciting new album with all of you!”, she wrote on Instagram yesterday.

To further celebrate Dolly’s new album, popular Ohio icecream brand ‘Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream’ recently announced its second collaboration with Dolly in the flavour of ‘Strawberry Pretzel Pie’ – described by the brand as “a subtly sweet tangy cream cheese ice cream, and lipstick strawberry sauce”.

“A throwback to the triple-decker pie from the potlucks of our youths”, reads the description of the ice cream.

All profits from the ice cream will go towards Dolly’s nonprofit charity, ‘Imagination Library’, providing free books to children up to five years old, for the purpose of encouraging early reading.

Launched in 1995, the charity had gifted an incredible 150 million books to children by 2020.

Today, the company runs in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and Australia.

With so much in-store for Dolly, the star continues to be an icon of our past, and seemingly, our present.
