There is no denying Bert and Patti Newton have an enormous amount of love for their five grandkids, regularly letting fans share in the most important moments in their lives. And it was no different over the weekend when the family got together for a very special occasion.
The doting grandparents joined their daughter Lauren, son-in-law Matt and beloved grandchildren for the christening of little Perla, who was born in January.
Taking to social media on Sunday, Patti shared a beautiful photo of all of her grandchildren together looking smart in pretty frocks and jackets.
In the photo, the eldest of Lauren and Matt’s kids Sam, 11, can be seen proudly cradling Perla in his arms with nine-year-old Eva, Lola, seven, and adorable Monty, three, standing alongside him.
“Perla’s Christening was so beautiful today,” the 74-year-old wrote alongside the image on Instagram. “Everyone played a part and Father Dowling made it so special. We all loved it.”

Meanwhile, Lauren also shared a snap from the day of herself and Matt, Perla and Father Dowling. The loving mother explained the significance of her youngest child’s frock and how important it is to the family.
“A beautiful Christening for our Perla,” the post read. “Wearing the same dress I wore 40 years ago and with the same wonderful Priest Father Dowling. Such a special day.”

Fans were quick to comment on the posts, with many claiming how lovely the family looked and how beautiful it is to see them all together.

Both Patti and her husband Bert play an important role in their grandkids lives, often seen enjoying family days out together. Just weeks ago the Patti shared a sweet photo of Bert giving their granddaughter Lola a big kiss and a cuddle at her seventh birthday party.

In the snap, the birthday girl was dressed as comic book hero Wonder Woman, while Bert opted for a smart pink shirt and a pair of trousers.
“Wonder Women [sic] had her 7th Birthday party today,” Patti captioned the photo on Instagram. “All her Super Hero’s [sic] had a great time. Hope we’re around for her 17th !!!! Lola is just Sunshine.”
