Barbra Streisand looked every bit the proud grandmother this week in a sweet snap with her adorable granddaughter.

The 76-year-old took to social media on Monday to share the beautiful photo, and she appeared to be very smitten with the darling baby girl.

Cuddling up to her step-son Josh Brolin’s daughter on a night out with family, the singer shared her adoration of her very first grandchild.

“We were at a restaurant but the most delicious thing was my granddaughter Westlyn,” she wrote on Instagram.

Brolin also shared a copy of the snap on his own Instagram writing: “Classic beauties. Time stands still”.

The beautiful photo has received a lot of attention from fans who shared their own sweet stories with grandchildren and how special it is to be in their lives.

“Grandchildren add more love than one could ever imagine. Enjoy!” one person wrote.

“I know that feeling of pure love. Nice pic, Barbra,” another added.

While a third said: “Certainly a beautiful baby! God bless her and her family always”.

The family welcomed little Westlyn Reign Brolin to the world in November. Streisand didn’t waste any time to share the exciting news with fans uploading the sweetest video of her sleeping granddaughter.

She wrote: “We’re so happy to welcome Westlyn into the world!”

The legendary performer had eagerly been awaiting the birth of her first grandchild since Josh and his wife Kathryn announced they were expecting in May. Streisand has been married to fellow actor and Josh’s father James Brolin, 78, since 1998.

Just one month after Westlyn was born, in an interview with SirusXM radio in the United States, Josh revealed what the pregnancy meant for his famous stepmother. When asked if his parents were excited about becoming grandparents to a little girl, he said it was his stepmother who was most looking forward to the new arrival.

“Especially her,” 50-year-old Brolin said. “I’d say especially her. My wife got her a bracelet that said grandma on it and she started crying.”

In all fairness, most people probably shed a tear when they find out they’re going to be grandparents for the first time, but according to Josh, Barbra took it up a notch and would constantly send him emails with suggestions for baby names.

“She’s one of those,” Brolin continued. “It’s annoying but it’s in a really great way. But she’s really into it and I love that she’s into it. It’s like very typical Jewish grandmother who’s like, saturated by this event. It’s awesome.”
