The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in style for the annual British Academy Film Awards in London on Sunday night, with Catherine completely stealing the show in a stylish one-shouldered white gown by Alexander McQueen.

Catherine’s dress, which nipped her in at the waist before billowing out into a full-length skirt, featured a simple design of flowers.

The duchess accessorised her gown with a co-ordinating clutch bag and silver heels, and added a pair of dazzling drop earrings that once belonged to Princess Diana for the occasion.

Wearing her hair up in an elegant bun, she stole the show as she smiled for cameras and greeted guests outside on the red carpet. Meanwhile, William dressed for the occasion in a black tux, and remained close to his wife’s side as they walked inside.

Catherine joined everyone from Glenn Close to Cate Blanchett and more as they stunned in glitzy ball gowns for the annual bash at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

As Prince William is the President of BAFTA, attending the prestigious ceremony is one of the duties that he carries out each year alongside his wife.

At last year’s ceremony, Catherine made a bold fashion choice in a dark green gown with a black sash. She was, of course, pregnant with Prince Louis at the time of the ceremony. In support of the #TimesUp movement, the majority of celebrities attending the BAFTA awards in 2018 stuck to an all-black dress code. However, as a member of the royal family, the duchess isn’t allowed to openly make a political statement.

Catherine’s red carpet appearance comes after she stepped out earlier last week for visits to two London schools for Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week. She wore a bright green Eponine London shift dress for the events.
