Right here in our own backyard we have natural wonders, world renowned attractions and award-winning beaches. From the beauty of Uluru to the soaring peaks of the Blue Mountains or the picture-perfect waves of Surfers Paradise, there is so much to do and see in Australia. We’ve collected the best our country has to offer and put together ten Aussie adventures to tick off your bucket list. How many have you done?

Drive the Great Ocean Road

One of the most scenic coastal drives in the world, the Great Ocean Road spans the stunning coastline of Victoria. A road trip will take you to witness the region’s incredible natural beauty. Along the way, you can enjoy the fun-loving surf culture of Torquay, admire the remarkable 12 Apostles and appreciate the treasures of the Great Otway National Park and the Bay of Islands Coastal Park.

Go scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef

The jewel in Queensland’s crown, the Great Barrier Reef is a true paradise. Spoil your loved ones with a holiday to the glorious Whitsunday Islands or the coast of Tropical North Queensland. Experience the sparkling waters of the Great Barrier Reef by venturing on a scuba diving tour where you can see firsthand the magnificent underwater life that thrives just below the surface.

Climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge

One of our most famous man-made structures, the Sydney Harbour Bridge stretches out from Sydney’s CBD to Milsons Point. While taking a stroll across the bridge won’t cost you a thing, the best way to experience those impressive harbour views is by embarking on a bridge climb. Put on your tracksuit, ascend the arches and be prepared for uninterrupted panoramas of the city and beyond.

Explore Kakadu National Park

World Heritage listed, Kakadu National Park holds the title as Australia’s largest national park. Boasting extraordinary biodiversity, the park is home to cascading waterfalls, rugged wetlands and winding rivers. Located about two hours drive from Darwin, you can explore the region by foot or consider taking a scenic helicopter flight.

Learn to surf at the Gold Coast

The beautiful beaches of the Gold Coast are known for their great surfing conditions. Beginners can learn to surf at Surfers Paradise, while more experienced riders can choose from a selection of golden beaches stretching along the coastline. And if the gorgeous beaches are not enough, the Gold Coast is bursting with top notch restaurants and bars plus oodles of shopping opportunities.

Cruise through Wineglass Bay

Freycinet National Park is nature’s masterpiece, encompassing white sandy beaches, pink granite mountains and the most azure waters around. To appreciate the superb contours of Wineglass Bay, hop onboard a relaxing cruise through the surrounding turquoise waters. The flawless crescent is the perfect spot for fishing, bushwalking, kayaking or sailing.

Experience a sunrise at Uluru

In the heart of Australia’s red outback, stands the ancient monolith known as Uluru or Ayers Rock. The colossal red rock has to be seen to be believed, with a circumference of almost 10 kilometres. The best time of day to visit Uluru is at sunrise or sunset when the vibrant orange glows shimmer against a backdrop of deep reds and purples.
