An ingenious feature on your phone that you might be missing out on

Share:

Smartphones are great, but for many that suffer from bad eyesight, they can be a chore to use.  Not to mention if you are blind what do you do then?

It seems the manufacturers have thought of that.  While it might be a recent discovery for some there are those that live with partial or full blindness every day that need to work and communicate with the rest of the world just as we do.

If you have iPhone there is a feature called VoiceOver, which you can turn on by going Settings -> General -> Accessibility, that will read what is on your screen.  With this feature turned on a single touch will tell you where and what you are touching on on the screen.  It will read web pages, emails, social media posts, and text messages to you while also telling you if you missed a call and who from.  It comes free with all iPhone and iPads.

Are you an Android device user?  They also have a version of VoiceOver called TalkBack which can be turned on by going Settings -> Accessibility -> TalkBack.

Are there any tricks you’ve learned with your phone that makes your life easier?
