Today presenter Tom Steinfort has married his partner Claudia Jukic, a magazine style editor, in a beautiful ceremony in Hvar, Croatia – but it’s Claudia’s vintage-style wedding gown that really stole the show. The couple exchanged vows at St Stephen’s Cathedral on Thursday before hosting a reception at the 16th-century Hvar Fortress, according to a report in 9Honey.

Fashion is a fickle game and history has taught us it’s only a matter of time before what’s old is new again. In an image posted to social media, Tom’s new wife can be seen wearing a vintage-style long, pleated white dress with a scooped neckline and long sleeves – a wedding style reminiscent of the 1980s.

She finished of the elegant look with a simple veil, white heels, while her hair was swept up into an effortless yet stylish low bun. Meanwhile, Tom looked dapper in a dark suit, which he paired with a black tie and brown shoes.

Tom, who proposed to Claudia while on holiday last June, joined the Today panel at the start of this year after the TV network changed up its cast with a new line-up which includes returning Georgie Gardner, alongside new faces Deborah Knight, Brooke Boney and Tony Jones.

And he’s not the first Today presenter to get married overseas – last year former host Karl Stefanovic and his partner Jasmine Yarbrough tied the knot in the Mexican resort of San Jose del Cabo. The couple said “I do” at the top of the stairs of the One Only Palmilla Resort chapel.

Jasmine wore a custom above-the-knee gown which featured a long train by Australian designer Jessica Andreatta. The mini dress featured soft blush tulle, and patterned beading over the lace. She wore her blonde locks in a low elegant bun — attached to which was a long lace veil. Meanwhile, Karl looked dapper in a white Tom Ford suit paired with R.M. Williams boots.

Images from inside the bash revealed that the evening do took place on the sand, beneath a glittering white canopy that had been decorated with hundreds of twinkling white fairy lights. One photo, posted by guest Amie Yin, gave an incredible up-close look at the venue as those closest to the couple sat at long tables adorned with white table clothes underneath the awning of fairy lights.

The 44-year-old Today show presenter said ‘I do’ as his sister Elise officiated the nuptials, which is Karl’s second marriage after he divorced the mother of his three children Cassandra Thorburn, after the pair split in 2016. He paid tribute to his bride in an emotional speech in which he described shoe designer Jasmine as his rock and reportedly said: “Everyone needs a Jasmine in their life”.

Among the guests was former Foreign Minister Julie Bishop who attended the showbiz wedding alongside her long-term partner David Panton. The politician looked incredible in a glittering silver sequinned one-shoulder gown, which she paired with a set of dangling silver earrings. However the Curtin MP ditched her usual statement high heels as she walked barefoot across the sand, hitching the train of her dress up with one hand.

Christian Wilkins, the son of Karl’s colleague Richard Wilkins, also shared a series of photos on social media as he wore a number of fashion-forward outfits for the Mexican celebration at the time.
