She was a huge name in the 1960s, but at 84, actress Tina Louise still oozes Hollywood glamour as much as ever.
Tina, who starred as Ginger Grant in the legendary TV series Gilligan’s Island, was spotted out and about in an eye-popping dress on Tuesday in Los Angeles, revealing her stylish transformation over the years.
The American actress, who was famously referred to as ‘the movie star’ in the iconic 1960’s sitcom, cut a stylish figure in the navy blue floral-patterned midi dress featuring a low-cut neckline.
The 84-year-old looked sensational in the frock which she teamed with a pair of black leather flats and a matching bag. She wore her signature fiery red locks down and kept her makeup to a minimum, which included a soft eyeshadow and a pink lipgloss.
Tina made a name for herself in the 50s after starring in the 1958 drama film God’s Little Acre, which won her a Golden Globe. However her signature role came in 1964 when she took on the role of movie star Ginger Grant in the iconic Gilligan’s Island.
The sitcom was broadcast from 1964 until the final episode on April 17, 1967. It was never a ratings winner but became a cult hit that many still love today.
Her character was a sexy, bombshell type actress reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe, who was concerned about her gowns, appearance, career and Hollywood gossip.
Tina has a successful film career as she starred in classics like The Trap (1966), The Hangman (1959), Day of the Outlaw (1959) and For Those Who Think Young (1964).
Not giving up anytime time soon, her latest role was starring alongside Stephen Baldwin, Burt Young and Joseph D’Onofrio in the 2017 family drama Tapestry.
