She’s been front and centre alongside the Queen, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge over the last few days as the royals pay tribute to fallen soldiers and their families in a series of Remembrance services.

But Sophie Wessex showed no signs of slowing down as she stole the show on her fourth royal engagement in 48 hours – this time on a visit to the Royal Victoria Chapel in Hampshire.

Wearing a black turtle-neck top to protect her from the cold, the Countess of Wessex, 53, kept her look classic and stylish as she coupled it with a long black skirt with white detailing down the side, as well as matching heeled knee-high boots.

She wrapped up with a long cream coat over the top and accessorised with a silver diamond necklace to give an added touch to the monochrome look. Wearing her hair tied back, Sophie kept her make-up minimal and flashed a beaming smile for photos.

It’s her fourth engagement following a busy weekend as she first attended a Remembrance Festival in London on Saturday night, before going on to join the royals at the Armistice Day commemorations in London on Sunday morning. Sophie then travelled to Wales for a church service on Monday, before continuing to Southampton for the latest appearance.

There was a surprise waiting for her once there too, as she was greeted by a woman dressed as Queen Victoria during the visit. The mother-of-two stopped to chat to her hosts and smiled happily, visiting the chapel that is now the last remaining part of a military hospital which was opened by Queen Victoria in 1863.

It comes after Sophie joined Meghan, Catherine, William, Harry, the Queen and more on Saturday night at the annual Festival of Remembrance in the Royal Albert Hall.

The countess wore one of the most intricate designs of the whole family in a lace black dress with see-through lace sleeves. The dress fell loosely to her knees and she towered in higher black heels as she stood to chat to guests and organisers in the main entrance hall.

She followed that appearance just a few hours later with the annual Remembrance Sunday memorial ceremony at the Cenotaph, this time opting for a sombre black jacket and matching hat with a poppy on her breast as a mark of respect.

From there she went on to attend a church service in Wales on Monday, before flying solo without her husband Prince Edward and children Lady Louise and James, Viscount Severn.
