While she may play more of a behind the scenes role in the newly released Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, Rita Wilson definitely stood out at the premiere of the much-anticipated movie, in a stunning blue and white sequinned dress.
Attending the recent UK premier at Eventim Apollo in London, the blonde beauty proudly stood beside her husband Tom Hanks, who co-produced the film with her, and looked every bit the star as she posed for the cameras.
The 61-year-old looked beautiful and elegant in the figure-hugging number that fell just below her knees, with wide white straps sitting on her shoulders for a summery look.

Pairing the dress with silver heels, Rita added a splash of quirky jewellery, including a silver butterfly necklace and dangly silver flower earrings to bring the outfit together. With her hair pulled back into a pony tail, the actress opted for kept splash of colour in her makeup with a hint of blue eyeshadow, a coral coloured lip and a swipe of blush.
Speaking with reporters on the Blue Carpet, Wilson described the movie as a celebration that people of all ages can enjoy.
“I think people are ready to celebrate and have this movie back again and with our cast that is reunited and then new people that have been added to the family,” she explained.
While husband Hanks, said it’s a sing-a-long that everyone knows the words to.
“The hits they loved the first time and the hits they didn’t get the last time,” he exclaimed.

This is the second time the couple have taken on the roles of executive producers, also taking claim to the original 2008 hit Mamma Mia! However, 62-year-old Hanks admitted earlier this year onThe Graham Norton Show, he actually tried out for a role alongside Meryl Streep in the first film but was shot down due to his terrible singing.
“There was never a whiff of it before, but I was a producer of Mamma Mia! and I tried out for a role. I wanted to hire myself, but my singing voice would have scared the children,” he said.
