The weather may be starting to cool down in the UK but that hasn’t stopped Queen Elizabeth II from stepping out for her royal duties.

The 92-year-old was all smiles on Tuesday as she attended the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in London wearing a gorgeous pink ensemble.

Queen Elizabeth II looked beautiful in a long buttoned pink coat, complete with a matching pink hat and black gloves to keep her warm in the chilly weather.

The royal looked to be having a lovely time as she greeted Nigel Clutton, the great-grandson of the RICS founder and first president, along with staff, trainees and students.

During her visit to the organisation on its 150th anniversary the royal viewed a special Lego model of the headquarters, which apparently took around six weeks to build using 13,000 bricks.

She also watched a demonstration of how surveyors use digital technology to maintain and refurbish large historic buildings using augmented reality apps, before locking a special letter box shaped time capsule which will be opened on the institution’s 200th anniversary.

Just last week The Queen brought tears to the eyes of many as she recited a touching speech to her son Prince Charles on his 70th birthday.

Speaking at a special birthday gathering at Buckingham Palace, Her Majesty spoke of the joy in raising Charles and how happy she was to celebrate the occasion. The royal said how much of a privilege it was to propose a toast to her son and see him reach 70 — just as her own mother had for her.

“It means that you have lived long enough to see your child grow up. It is rather like – to use an analogy I am certain will find favour – planting a tree and being able to watch it grow,” she said to the crowd of family and friends.

“My mother saw me turn 70, of course. And she was heard to observe that 70 is exactly the age when the number of candles on your cake finally exceeds the amount of breath you have to blow them out.”

The 92-year-old was very much the proud mother as she described her son’s achievements and the joy her and husband Prince Phillip have had in watching him grow into a wonderful man.
