Fans may be used to seeing Nicole Kidman in extravagant gowns and Oscar-worthy costumes in Hollywood blockbusters, but the Aussie A-lister has proven with her latest outfit that fashion doesn’t always have to be the result of fancy dresses or expensive clothing items.
Most women own a pair of simple blue jeans in their wardrobe. In fact, many women have several pairs of jeans in different colours. The great thing about denim is it can be worn for something super casual like running errands at the local shopping centre, or a more formal occasion like a special do or night out with friends and family.
The Eyes Wide Shut actress shows us exactly how it’s done. The 51-year-old stepped out at the 6th annual Gold Meets Golden Party in Beverly Hills on Saturday evening in a chic pair of dark blue jeans.
She teamed her jeans with a stylish black jacket with gold buttons, a pair of matching black heels and a silky red, blue and white blouse to add colour. Chances are most women have a similar black jacket or coat in their clothes collection and can easily pull off a similar look.
In fact, Nicole added a burst of extra colour to her outfit by accessorising with a maroon handbag. The key is not to overdo the look and Nicole’s case, she topped off the look with simplistic make-up and wore her luscious blonde locks in a straight style for the event.
Just a day earlier, the Just Go With It star turned heads in an eye-popping an eye-popping ruffled number at the 8th AACTA International Awards in Los Angeles. In the United States for awards season, the mum-of-four wowed in a glamorous black and white gown which featured an extravagant ruffle design around the bodice, working its way around Nicole’s chest, back and shoulders.
While the top half of the frock was bold and daring, the lower half of the gown was much simpler, as a black A-line skirt fell softly to the floor from beneath the layered ruffles. Always one to accessorise, the wife of Keith Urban completed the elegant red carpet look with a simple black and pearl clutch bag and suitably glamorous make-up.
Shortly after the event, the star shared a photograph from the night with her Instagram fans.
“Thank you AACTA International Awards! So thrilled to win Best Supporting Actress for #BoyErased,” she said. “It was an honor [SIC] to work with @gayrodcon, @joeledgerton, Lucas Hedges, @troyesivan, and our whole cast and crew.”
