The Duchess of Cambridge pulled out all the stops on Sunday night as she stepped out with Prince William to attend the 73rd annual BAFTA Awards in London.

While the evening was a celebration of some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Catherine stole the limelight thanks to her incredible floor-length gown, which was covered in golden embroidery that dazzled under the bright lights of the cameras.

The mother-of-three looked incredible for the star-studded occasion in the unique frock by British fashion house Alexander McQueen – who were also responsible for her iconic 2011 wedding gown. The dress featured a draped bodice and short sleeves with a full A-line skirt.

Sticking with the golden theme, Catherine completed the look with a pair of glittering stiletto heels and a matching clutch bag. While her earrings and necklace perfectly complimented the floral-inspired embroidery on her gown.

Meanwhile Prince William looked dapper in a tailored black tuxedo and bow tie, which he paired with a stylish pair of slip-on suede dress shoes and a silver designer watch.

The couple have attended the awards bash on several occasions previously, however this latest outing marks 10 years since the Duke of Cambridge took over from his Lord Richard Attenborough – the late brother of Sir David Attenborough – as President of BAFTA.

As part of his role, the duke presented the Fellowship award to film producer Kathleen Kennedy, who has worked on huge blockbusters including Star Wars movies The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and Rogue One, as well as Jurassic Park, ET and Back to the Future.

Sunday was not the first time that Catherine has worn this gown however as she previously stepped out in it for a state dinner in Malaysia during the Cambridge’s diamond jubilee tour in 2012.

Catherine’s decision to re-wear the frock was in line with the theme of Sunday evening’s awards ceremony as guests were encouraged by event organisers to wear something they had worn before or make a sustainable outfit choice. Prince William also opted for a tuxedo he’d worn previously.
