She was a huge name in the 1960s, but at 80, actress Jane Fonda is proving she’s still got it.
No stranger to a bold outfit choice, Jane defied old-school fashion rules in an eye-catching navy and black ensemble as she hit the red carpet for the premiere of her latest film, Book Club, in Sydney on Sunday night. The talented actress stunned in the standout power suit at the star studded event.
Jane showed off her trim figure in the fitted navy-blue blazer, which nipped in at the waist. She completed the look with a pair of black flared suit trousers. Jane wore her tousled hair in loose curls and opted for soft glam make-up, which included blushed cheeks, a winged eyeliner, and pink lips, for the premiere.
Book Club tells the story of four close friends whose lives are turned upside down after reading 50 Shades of Grey in their monthly book club. Diane (Diane Keaton) is recently widowed after 40 years of marriage, Vivian (Jane Fonda) enjoys her men with no strings attached, Sharon (Candice Bergen) is still working through her decades-old divorce, and Carol’s (Mary Steenburgen) marriage is in a slump after 35 years.
Ahead of the premiere on Sunday night, the actress stopped by The Project, where she caught the attention of 33-year-old host Tommy Little. Despite being 47 years her junior, Little could be seen flirting up a storm with the Grace and Frankie star.
It comes after Jane declared herself done with dating after her split from long-term partner Richard Perry last year. In May, she was asked by Extra about her dating status. “I’m not dating anymore but I did up until a couple of years ago,” she said at the time. “I’m 80… I’ve closed up shop down there!”
Janes’s last relationship with music producer Perry, 75, ended in January 2017. The actress was previously married to CNN founder Ted Turner for 10 years, until 2001. Jane also married politician Tom Hayden in 1973, one year after divorcing film director Roger Vadim, who cast her in the classic sci-fi film Barbarella.
