Catherine is known for her glamorous dresses and classy looks, but she has now taken a leaf out of her sister-in-law Meghan’s book and chosen some stylish suit trousers for her latest outing with husband Prince William.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 36, transformed her look completely as she landed in Cyprus to greet RAF personnel, opting for flared navy trousers reminiscent of styles previously worn by the Duchess of Sussex.
Catherine coupled the dramatic look with a tight white t-shirt and a recycled olive green blazer by Smythe, while wearing her hair in a half-up ponytail and adding simple gold earrings and a chunky belt to complete the look.
While the duchess has previously been pictured in jeans and leggings, it’s thought to be the first time she’s worn smart suit trousers out in public instead of her usual classy dresses and skirts.
Catherine appeared in great spirits throughout the visit and shared a stream of loving glances with William as the posed with service personnel at RAF Akrotir, as they all stood round a Christmas tree and delivered presents.
William gave a moving speech at the RAF base, thanking the group for their continued service. According to the Mirror, he said: “All of this work is done without fanfare. You don’t seek praise for your contribution. It’s not about credit or recognition – for you, it’s just about service.”
He added: “But as we approach Christmas, Catherine and I feel strongly that praise for your work and recognition of your sacrifices is exactly what is due to you all.”
It comes after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles and Camilla, and the Queen all stepped out in their finest for the Queen’s Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday night.
The duchess dazzled once again in a pale blue embellished gown as she joined William for the annual white tie affair, looking sensational in the etherial dress by British designer Jenny Packham which featured a draped neckline and sheer cap sleeves.
She accessorised with pearl earrings and the Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara, which previously belonged to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana, and proudly wore the yellow ribbon of the Queen’s Order pinned to her chest.
Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth was equally radiant in a cream-and-gold gown as she greeted ambassadors and dignitaries from around the world. The 92-year-old monarch looked her typical elegant self in the glittering gown, which featured delicate floral patterns and tiers of lace.
She accessorised with a bold diamond necklace, and swapped out her favourite black leather handbag, which she is often pictured with, for a gold designer piece that matched her shoes.
