Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, has well and truly upped the fashion ante for her latest royal engagement.

Joining her husband Prince Charles and mother-in-law Queen Elizabeth II, the 70-year-old was all smiles as she stepped out for the annual Order of the Garter service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Even though the other royals were dressed in full royal regalia for the event, Camilla proved just as fashionable for the oldest and most high-ranking order of chivalry in the United Kingdom. In fact, the Order of the Garter service dates back as far as 1348.

The Duchess stepped away from the pastel colours she’s famous for and instead opted for a gorgeous white ensemble that complimented her in all the right places. Camilla wore a simple yet elegant knee-length white dress that was perfect for the warm Greater London weather.

The dress included a number of pleats that fell from the Duchess’ hips, as well as a V-neck cut that made way for a rather impressive necklace Camilla decided to wear for the outing. In addition to the dress, the royal matched her look with a truly beautiful jacket. Complete with intricate lacing, the blazer featured an array of stunning black and white flowers that really made Camilla stand out in the crowd.

She wore her trademark blonde locks in her usual fashion and topped off the look with a black and white hat, cute black clutch purse and a pair of black and white pumps. She also wore a bracelet and rings in addition to her eye-catching necklace.

As for Prince Charles, it was the perfect occasion for him to show off his impressive Garter Robes. Clarence House explained that the Prince of Wales is a Knight of the Order Garter. Along with Queen Elizabeth and Camilla, Charles arrived at Windsor Castle by carriage after the Garter Service.

The royals and onlookers who arrived at the Castle to be part of the celebration were treated to the Military Knights of Windsor who kicked off the ceremony with a procession through the grounds of Windsor. They were dressed in full military uniform as crowds gathered in the castle grounds to mark the annual celebration.

The Garter Knights then processed, wearing lavish blue velvet robes, known as a mantle, and black velvet hats with white plumes.

It’s not the first time Camilla’s fashion has made headlines recently.

Over the weekend, she kicked off her heels and joined Prince Charles for a beautiful stroll along the seaside after the pair wrapped up their royal engagements in the Republic of Ireland.

What do you think? Are you a fan of Camilla’s fashion? Would you wear an outfit similar to hers to a fancy function or event?
