Pacific Highway nominated as the worst road in NSW for fourth year in a row

Share:

Australia has some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, but boy is it hard to get to them on our terrible roads!

Once again, The Pacific Highway has topped the list of NSW’s worst roads, along with Pennant Hills Road and Parramatta Road, according to NRMA’s annual survey information released today.

12,000 motorists nominated these three roads as the most frustrating to travel along for the fourth year in a road, which begs the question, what is the government doing about this?

The full duplication is being called to be completed by 2020 but it’s uncertain whether this will be feasible as it has been progressively upgraded since 1996. That’s right – 1996.

And even when they try to fix the roads, it just causes more congestion. Pennant Hills Road has 22 sets of traffic lights which makes commuting every day torturous for Sydney-siders.

The full list of NSW’s worst roads in NSW were:

  1. Pacific Highway at Coffs Harbour
  2. Pennant Hills Road at Pennant Hills
  3. Parramatta Road at Concord
  4. Princes Highway at Albion Park
  5. Barton Highway at Murrumbateman
  6. Kings Highway at Braidwood
  7. Bucketts Way at Allworth
  8. M5 Motorway at Revesby
  9. Narellan Road at Campbelltown
  10. M4 Western Motorway at Granville
