Julianne Moore has made several appearances at the Cannes Film Festival already this year… and she is reinventing herself every time.
The 56-year-old actress last night attended the premier of Okja, wearing a Louis Vuitton sequin black dress with a thigh-high split, made modest with a designer white slip and finished off with a belt.
There was booing at the premiere event, but nothing to do with the fashion seen on the red carpet (below). Instead it was due to the decision of Cannes to include streaming movies by Netflix, rather than those set to be released on the big screen. The screening of the movie was also delayed 15 minutes after its aspect ratio was off with a portion of the image on the ceiling, resulting in more booing. The end credits, however, did bring cheers.
Moore features in the movie Wonderstruck, with co-star Michelle Williams. The premiere for that film at Cannes she wore a white feathered number, and for a cast photo call she wore a casual green dress with a drawstring waist.
For the Cannes opening night she was wearing red Givenchy Couture, while at the Chopard Dinner to honour Rihanna she wore a ruffled gown in navy.
