Norman was listening to his sister practice her singing.

“Lizzie,” he said, “I wish you’d only ever sing Christmas carols.”

“You like those ones, do you?” Lizzie said. “What’s so good about them?”

“If you only sang Christmas carols, I’d only have to hear you sing once a year,” said Norman.
