A man from the city was travelling through a small town. He was hungry so he headed to the nearest restaurant he could find.
He noticed a sign out the front of the joint saying, “Today’s Special: Vegetable Soup with Fried Chicken and Baked Potatoes”.
The man thought this sounded quite nice so he walked inside and took a seat. The waiter came to his table and asked him what he wanted to eat.
“I’ll take the special,” the man said.
A few minutes after receiving his order the man angrily called over the waiter. “Is this the special?! It says vegetable soup, but there are absolutely no vegetables! It says baked potatoes, but they’re grilled! And it says fried chicken, but this chicken is not fried!”
The waiter was not used to the harsh attitude of the city folks so he kindly looked at the man, shrugged and answered, “My dear sir, that is what makes it so special!”
