With a change of season comes a change in fashion, hair and beauty. Luckily, the Melbourne Fashion Festival, one of the biggest annual fashion events in Australia, is here to guide us in the right direction.

Priceline Pharmacy is once again the official hair and beauty partner of the 2017 Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival, which runs from March 1 to 19, with the premium fashion shows scheduled for tonight and again tomorrow. It’s the third time the accessible store of all things hair and beauty has been the key player in the looks that accompany the clothes on the runway,

Priceline Pharmacy’s make-up director Rae Morris and hair director Kenneth Stoddart gave Starts at 60 the inside story on some of the big beauty trends of the autumn-winter season that they’re showcasing on the runway.

They say to watch out for  make-up trends that include graphic lines, sooty or burgundy eyes, earth tones, runway rouge (the look is all about real red and daring dark lips) and spider lashes. Meanwhile, hair will be in pushed-back, wispy, romantic, textured or braided styles.

These trends are going to be so big that Priceline Pharmacy’s featured them in a beauty book that you’ll be able to get your hands on in store, or you can view them online here. It’s all part of Priceline’s month-long Festival of Beauty campaign that celebrates the looks for the season.

And if you’re at the Melbourne Fashion Festival, make sure you head to the Priceline Pharmacy Pop-Up and treat  yourself to a free  hair and make-up touch-up – you’ll be in good hands with their expert beauty advisors staffing the pop-up. If you’re not in Melbourne this week, go to your nearest Priceline store for a free consultation with a beauty advisor who’ll help tailor the trends for you.

The best part about this year’s festival, though, is that you don’t have to be in Melbourne to keep up with the action.

Starts At 60 will be there to cover it for you, joining fashion blogger Nikki Parkinson and news presenter Kay McGrath to bringing you all the hot style tips and trends right before one of the runway shows happens. And we’ll do our best to get you some livestreamed video from the runway itself, with designers Bassike, KITX, Bianca Spender, Christopher Esber, Albus Lumen, Scanlan Theodore and Strateas Carlucci on the schedule tonight.

To learn more about Priceline Pharmacy’s ‘Festival of Beauty’, head to www.priceline.com.au/festivalofbeauty and explore the make-up and hairstyles that will grace the runways, and how to incorporate them into your own styling regime. You’ll also find a great range of blogs and articles to help you get the right look for your style and taste, as well as exclusive hair and make-up tips from the pros.

For more information about Melbourne Fashion Festival, check out vamff.com.au but don’t miss our coverage of the event tonight too. Follow Starts At 60 on Facebook for live coverage and head to startsat60.com for more stories after the show.
