Helen Mirren has hit up one of Australia’s most popular holiday destinations, spending time with her husband at the historic Claremont House hotel in Tasmania.
The couple were snapped by one of the hotel’s staff members, who said they were all smiles as they posed in the dining room.
The lucky staff member also got to have a quick chat with Helen and her husband, film director Taylor Hackford, and said they loved the delicious Aussie food on the menu.
“They came down to breakfast on Monday morning and had eggs from our chickens. That’s how fresh the Tasmanian produce was,” he told The Mercury.
When asked about their holiday, the couple said they were loving their short stay in the state and their next stop was Cradle Mountain before heading off to Malaysia.
Helen kept her holiday attire cool and comfortable with brown ankle boots and jeans paired with a floral blouse and light grey jumper to ward off the cool air.
Earlier, one of Helen’s youngest fans, Lucy, was lucky enough to take a quick snap with her at the airport in Melbourne before heading across the Bass Straight.
“At Melb airport yesterday, before Hobart flight, with my daughter,” Emily Ruth wrote on Facebook.
