The family of a man who drowned in Demi Moore’s swimming pool have filed a wrongful-death lawsuit.
Initially the claim was against Tree House Trust, who owns the property and the two people who hosted the party, reports TMZ. One of those in Moore’s assistant.
Moore herself has now been added to the list because there were no depth markers near the pool and it has rocks around the edges, claimed to be a tripping hazard. The temperature of the pool has also been listed as a contributor as it is alleged to have been 101 degrees which could compromise brain function.
The event happened during a party in July 2015 at Moore’s Los Angeles home, but Moore was not at the party.
Law enforcement sources say the man, Edenilson Steven Valle, was found at the bottom of the pool. The 21-year-old allegedly fell in after the other guests had left the party.
This week Demi Moore sold an Upper West Side penthouse apartment after it had been on the market for two years, reports New York Times. The US$45 million (AUS $60.6 m) sale was US$30m (AUS $40.4m) less than the original asking price of US$75 million (AUS $101.2m) Moore, with former husband Bruce Willis, bought the apartment in 1990 for $7.73 million.
It doesn’t seem to have worried the 54-year-old though. Demi was spotted partying at an event in Los Angeles on Thursday night celebrating shoe designer Roger Vivier.
