She may not have much experience in an office job, but the Duchess of Cornwall wasn’t afraid to strap on her boots and get to work for charity at an official royal engagement in Blackpool at the weekend.
Camilla stopped by The Silver Line, for which she is patron, on Saturday and answered calls with the other workers before taking a tour of the charity’s offices.
The Silver Line supports lonely and vulnerable older people in Britain, offering them a 24/7 confidential helpline they can call to chat to someone or ask for help.
The Duchess wore her favourite black knee-high boots for the occasion, paired with a cream coat and spotted dress.
The charity was clearly thrilled with Camilla’s visit and took to Instagram to share a photo of her with the organisation’s founder Dame Esther Rantzen.

It’s been a busy few weeks for the Duchess, who attended the annual ICAP Charity Day in London on Tuesday to raise money for medical detection dogs and later joined the rest of the royal family at Buckingham Palace for the annual Diplomatic Reception.
Camilla chose to wear the Boucheron tiara for the occasion, a piece from the Queen’s collection most famously worn by the Queen Mother before the Duchess joined the royal family.
Earlier this month, Camilla joined Prince Charles in congratulating Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on their engagement.
