Having happier feet and heels isn’t hard

And no wonder, because there are 26 bones, 33 joints, and more than 100 muscles, tendons, and ligaments in those complex, important parts of our body.

But you can put more spring in your step by exercising two particular groups of muscles.

Dorsiflexor

The dorsiflexor is a fancy term for the muscles in the front of your feet.  If you suffer from feet pain first thing in the morning, do these exercises as soon as you get up to ease your discomfort.

Plater Flexor

The plantar flexor are the muscles on the bottom of your feet. These muscles can be responsible for a pain in the middle of the foot when you take your first steps in the morning or after sitting for long periods of time.

While exercises can’t necessarily cure your foot or heel problems, they can help. But if you experience a change for the worse in your feet, you should see your doctor immediately.
