Experts recommend these natural tricks to help reduce wrinkles…

Share:

Wrinkles are a fact of life, and as we get older our skin will change dramatically. However, there are natural ways to reduce wrinkles without having to resort extreme measures like Botox and facelifts. Experts recommend the following ideas:

1. Eat more fish

Salmon, tuna and other seafoods are an excellent source of protein, which is the foundation for healthy skin. Fish is also rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which doctors believe can nourish and “plump up” your skin.

2. Get reading glasses

Squinting can lead to wrinkles, especially around the delicate skin of your eyes. If you’re struggling to read, consult with an optometrist who may be able to prescribe glasses. In turn, this will reduce the instance of crows-feet and fine lines.

3. Natural chemical peels

Alpha-hydroxy acids can gently remove the top layers of skin, helping you to look and feel refreshed. Natural sources of alpha-hydroxy acids include lemon, pineapple and tomatoes.

These fruits can be integrated into your diet, or the juices can be applied to your skin for about one minute. Test these juices on a patch of your hand first though, and remove immediately if your skin feels tingly.

4. Use less water

Dermatologists recommend using less tap water on your skin, because it can strip away natural moistures and oils. Washing your face too often can also affect your skin’s pH balance, leaving it more prone to wrinkles.

5. Wear Vitamin C

Some medical experts believe that Vitamin C can increase collagen production, protect against sun damage and even reduce uneven skin tones. There are natural Vitamin C creams available at your local chemist, so consult with a pharmacist.

Will you give these natural remedies a try? Are you worried about wrinkles as you get older, or are you comfortable “in your own skin”?
