The Voice Australia is back for another season, and fans across the country were left in tears last night after blind singer Julee-Anne Bell took to the stage.

The voice teacher from regional Queensland left all four judges — Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, Keith Urban and American singer Rita Ora — blown away after her breathtaking rendition of ‘Climb Every Mountain’.

Following her incredible performance, Julee-Anne informed the judges she could not see them.

I’m not sure, I mean I have never met you guys before, so I should probably let you know that I actually cant see, I can’t see you at all,” she said, PerthNow reports. “I am standing here not certain if any of you actually turned around.”

Judge Keith was quick to reassure Julee-Anne, by saying: “If there had been a fifth chair, that would have turned around too.”

The woman went on to say that she chose the song in dedication to Guy, who sung the same Sound of Music classic on Australian Idol in 2003.

Touched by the performance and gesture, Guy, who was later picked by Julee-Anne to be her mentor, joined her on stage to sing a duet of the life-changing song.

“For me I had a life-changing moment with that song,” he told her. “I think you just had one of those moments.”

Guy then asked her what it was like to step out onto the stage for the first time, to which she replied: “It was just a big silent chasm, I don’t remember that runway up there being that long, it just felt very quiet. As soon as the music started, it just felt like theatre then.”

Viewers back at home were equally touched by the moving performance, with one commenting: “The entire performance had me in tears. What an amazing voice! And a sense of humour to boot as well!”

Another added: “I’m so blown away by your stunning voice. Thank you Julee-Anne for sharing your beautiful voice with us and doing the duet with Guy, your followed your dream and it has come true. You are amazing as is Guy.”

While a third wrote: “So beautiful, Julie-Anne has the most angelic voice and such a beautiful lady with a lovely soul. When she sang with Guy there where tears and smiles all round. Can’t wait to hear her magical voice again. Thank you.”
