The weirdest things we take on holidays are…

Share:

When I go on holidays there are some essentials I always pack… My own pillowcase, a strong supply of hand sanitizer and a travel candle. They are somewhat unnecessary items and my family has a long standing joke about my packing but recent information proves I’m really not that odd.

Holiday rental group, Stayz, has surveyed Australians about the wacky things they take with them on holidays to make them feel at home and some of them are a little comedic. The study found that the most popular item is the pillow with 87% of respondents admitting to taking one away with them. 9% of respondents have taken a toilet seat with them on holiday and one in five would consider it.

It also found that 68% of Australians take a jar of vegemite with them – regardless of whether their holiday is local or international. And some of the other items people claim to taking away with them include food processors, bread makers and coffee machines.

So today we want to know what do you take on holiday? What are the unusual essential items you take? Share your quirky things in the comments below…
