We all have our own preferences when it comes to what toiletries we bring travelling. There’s some of us who take our full-size products with us and there are others who squeeze and scoop their products into handy, travel-sized containers. Others might just buy their toiletries once they arrive! Whichever type of traveller you are, it’s hard not to appreciate one Perth mum’s ingenious travel hack, and the internet is loving it so much, the story has gone viral.
Nat Stein posted on Facebook her crafty idea of taking travel-sized bottles with loopholes in the end, joining them together with a zip tie and then hanging the zip tie from a lanyard. It keeps your shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the one handy place and you can simply hang it over the shower in your hotel (or from a tree if you’re camping!)
If you’re worried you’ll get the travel bottles mixed up, write on them with a permanent marker and Bob’s your uncle!

According to the NZ Herald, Stein wrote on the post: “Kmart sell these travel bottles in a 2 pack for $3. Filled them with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and attached to a lanyard.”
Fellow travellers are loving the cheap trick.
“This is really a great idea,” one person said.
Another commented: “As someone who travels a lot, and has spent a lot more money on containers, I’m definitely buying some – because they have holes in them and putting a lanyard through, they will be brilliant for when I take my grandkids swimming.”
“Perfect for camping so the kids can just wear the lanyard … I hate the thought of putting the bottle on ledges or getting stuff wet when they reach out for soap,” another said.
