Take testosterone out of the equation and let women run the world

It is time for women to take a stand! With all the posturing between Russia and America, like peacocks strutting their stuff, I am beginning to think the time has come when women need to take over.

Centuries of rule by men has done nothing to solve the global conflicts that have plagued the world. They sit in their high offices and make decisions based on monetary value, ignoring the human value, life.

Most women, I think, would not be in a hurry to set the world on a path towards global conflict. Oh yes, there have been a few women who had to resort to conflict where thousands died, but, did they have much choice being pitted against decisions made by powerful men in suits.

If their counterparts were women, would war have been less likely? Would they have made those same decisions if they had other powerful women to talk to? If they had the choice?

Perhaps it is time to take the testosterone out of the equation. It just might give women a chance to fix the problems men have created, provided that when women take over, it will be done on a global scale. Women working with women around the world, making the big decisions. If they could sit at the table and discuss the needs and requirements without resorting to conflict.

In the relatively recent past, women have proven themselves capable, just look at what women like Indira Gandhi, Golda Meir, Margaret Thatcher, managed, and what Julia Gillard achieved in the short time she was Australian prime minister. Even if some of those women had to resort to war, was it really such an easy decision for them?

How do we set about making these changes?
A transition of power from Man to Woman?

Who would choose politics? Where do we find talented women, with the right sort of attitude (I don’t want any more ‘Paulines’ thank you very much). We need women who have strength and commitment, women who won’t put up with the crud that goes on today.

I guess it is one step at a time; over a period of time, and we have certainly taken the first few steps.

Women by nature are more nurturing and would not want to see their children threatened or killed in a war. They are more likely to look for a way to resolve issues. Well, most of them (I hope).

I see a global conflict looming, it has been on the horizon for quite some time and I don’t want to see my grandsons caught up in it, which they will be — they are the right age.

Maybe, in the meantime, we can teach Men the best way to behave while they are still running the country.

What do you think — would the world be better run by women? Do you like ‘tongue in cheek’ articles like this one?
