Police are reviewing their security efforts at Prince George’s school after a woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary.

The 40-year-old woman gained access to Thomas’ Battersea School in west London on Tuesday at 14:15 BST, the Met said in a statement on their website.

The BBC reports that Prince George was at school on Tuesday, but is thought not to have been there at the time of the break in.

Police said they are “working with the school… to review its security arrangements” following the arrest.

“Police were alerted and officers attended immediately after the issue came to light,” they said.

“Police are part of the protective security arrangements for the Prince and we will continue to work closely with the school, which is responsible for building security on its site.”

The woman remains in custody at a police station in south London.

Kensington Palace told the BBC it was “aware of the issue but we would not comment further on security measures”.

Prince George’s first day of school gained attention around the world last week with millions scrambling to see pictures of the cute royal in his uniform.

He was dropped off by dad Prince William, who later said his first official school run had gone much smoother than he’d predicted.

“It went well,” he said at an event at Kensington Palace later that day.

“There was one other parent who had more of an issue with their children – so I was quite pleased I wasn’t the one.”

Do you think more should be done to protect the prince? Do you think there’ll be more incidents like this in future?
