There’s just one week to go until Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank tie the knot, and if her latest Instagram post is anything to go by, the young royal is getting excited about the big day.

Eugenie delighted royal fans earlier this week when she shared a never-before-seen family throwback to social media. The 28-year-old uploaded the childhood snap to Instagram on Thursday and captioned the adorable image: “#tbt [Throwback Thursday] sisterly love.”

The image shows the young princess and her sister Beatrice, now 29, donning matching white dresses and flower crowns at the 1993 wedding of former royal nanny Alison Wardley.

As always, royal fans were quick to send their best wishes, with one writing: “So beautiful! I can’t wait for the wedding.” Another added: “You two were so adorable. I’m very excited to see our little princess get married.”

A third wrote: “You are going to make the most beautiful bride.”

Earlier this month, Buckingham Palace revealed further details about Eugenie and Jack’s special day. The youngest daughter of Sarah, Duchess of York and Prince Andrew will marry on Friday October 12 in St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. Similar to Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, members of the British public will also watch on from within the castle grounds.

The service will kick off at 11am with the Dean of Windsor, The Rt Revd. David Conner officiating the ceremony. The Archbishop of York, the Most Revd. And Rt. Hon. John Sentamu will lead the prayers.

Queen Elizabeth is set to host the reception at Windsor Castle, while the couple will also complete a carriage procession through the streets of Windsor. Around 500 guests are expected to attend Friday’s ceremony — with celebrity guests such as Victoria and David Beckham and Elton John all reported to be in attendance.

Eugenie and Jack began dating after meeting in the Swiss ski resort of Verbier in 2010 and Jack proposed to the princess whilst on holiday in Nicaragua earlier this year.

Last week, the Royal Collection Trust released the official range of commemorative china, which features a monogram surmounted by the coronet of Princess Eugenie, alongside the couple’s entwined monogram.

The china is also decorated with garlands of ivy, symbolising their home, Ivy Cottage, woven with English wild bluebells, forget-me-nots and the white rose of York.
