It’s been frequently reported that Prince Philip and Sarah, Duchess of York, don’t see eye to eye, after the pair reportedly fell out following the scandal that surrounded Fergie when she was photographed sunbathing topless in the early 1990s.

Writing for the Daily Mail, Richard Eden claims that the Duke of Edinburgh, 97, and his former daughter in law have agreed to pose alongside each other in the official wedding photos on October 12, which will mark the first time the pair have been snapped together in 26 years.

“Her Majesty and the Duke will be in the official photographs, just as they were in those of their other grandchildren, Peter and Zara Phillips, Prince William and Prince Harry,” a courtier allegedly told the Daily Mail.

“The Duke loves his granddaughter and wants her big day to be just as special as those of her cousins.”

The pair are said to have avoided each other completely since the photo scandal which emerged in 1992 when a tabloid newspaper in the UK printed photos of  Fergie having her toes sucked by American businessman John Bryan.

The elderly Duke retired from public duties as a working royal last year however he attended the royal wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in May and was even able to walk into the venue unassisted alongside his wife, Her Majesty the Queen, despite having had a hip replacement

Princess Eugenie, 28, and tequila ambassador Jack will say their vows in St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, which is the same venue where her cousin Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, got hitched earlier this year.

The pair began dating after meeting in the Swiss ski resort of Verbier in 2010 and Jack proposed to Prince Andrew and Fergie’s youngest daughter whilst on holiday in Nicaragua earlier this year.

On Friday, exactly two weeks before the big day, the Royal Collection Trust released the official range of commemorative china, which features a monogram surmounted by the coronet of Princess Eugenie, alongside the couple’s entwined monogram.

The china is also decorated with garlands of ivy, symbolising their home, Ivy Cottage, woven with English wild bluebells, forget-me-nots and the white rose of York.

What do you think? Is it right that Prince Philip and Sarah Ferguson put their differences aside for Eugenie’s big day?
