The British royal family were out in force last week as Her Majesty the Queen celebrated her official birthday with the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony in London.

New mother the Duchess of Sussex even took a day off from maternity leave, leaving one-month-old baby Archie at home, to join her husband Prince Harry and other senior members of royalty at Buckingham Palace.

While fans were delighted to see Meghan back in the public eye, and looking fantastic in navy blue just weeks after giving birth to the couple’s first child on May 6, eagle-eyed onlookers reckon they spotted a rather tense moment between the couple, who celebrated their first wedding anniversary last month.

The footage shows Meghan turning to speak to her other half during the national anthem ‘God Save the Queen’. According to fans, and one expert, the duchess seems to be asking him a question to which he replies that she is correct.

The duchess can then be seen turning around for a second time though, and it is this exchange that has caught people’s attention.

Social media went into a frenzy on Friday as people debated whether the duke had indeed scolded his wife, who can be seen promptly turning around to face the front following his comments, of whether

“Look at her face,” one person commented. “How could he order me anything?”

Another wrote:  “My favorite moment was when Meghan turned around to speak to Harry and he told her to turn around twice. She looked like she was going to cry. It was right before the anthem played. I did love little Louis waving how adorable. True blue Royalty.”

However, not everyone was convinced that Harry was directing his wife, with others suggesting he may have been speaking to Jack Brooksbank, the husband of Princess Eugenie, as it was his first Trooping the Colour. Another user suggested he seemed to be having a disagreement with someone out of shot.

While another fan posted another video, taken later in the day, which appears to show Prince Harry breaking royal protocol himself as he attempted to leave the balcony before his grandmother, with wife Meghan holding him back.

“Here we have Harry trying to leave before the Queen leaves and Meghan having to remind Harry that he needs to wait until the Queen leaves first,” they wrote. “Harry didn’t even tell her to turn around.”

Meghan made her first public appearance in months for the event, which is considered to be more of a family affair than an official duty, as she stepped out in a navy-blue dress by Givenchy. She accessorised with a matching headpiece by Noelle Stewart.

She arrived at the event in a horse-drawn carriage, riding alongside her husband, sister-in-law the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Cornwall.

What do you think? Do you think Prince Harry told Meghan to “turn around”? Were you pleased to see Meghan back in the public eye last weekend?
